WHAT COULD BE MORE PRECIOUS THAN THE AIR YOU BREATHE?

Yet, the one place you should feel completely relaxed and safe – your home – can have hidden dangers in the air.

According to the EPA, the level of air pollutants is often two to five times higher inside than outside. Indoor air quality is really about your family’s health. At Custom Home Heating, we have the expertise and equipment to assess your indoor air quality, and remedy any issues that may be present.

If anyone in your family suffers from asthma or allergies, indoor air quality obviously needs to be a priority, and it should be anyway. While some homes may have carbon monoxide and radon detectors, those are just two of innumerable contaminants. Some are dangerous to everyone. Viruses and bacteria as well as mold spores can circulate through your home in your heating and air conditioning system. Older homes may have lead particles and asbestos added to the mix.

Here at Custom Home Heating, we have specialized instruments that measure the air quality of your home.

You can do some basic evaluations yourself. Ask yourself this…

We offer a free consultation, so there’s nothing to keep you from finding out about your home’s indoor air quality. When we come into your home, we use a device that analyzes the air, we talk to you about your concerns, and we conduct a thorough visual inspection of your heating and air conditioning system. Then, based on your particular needs, we can offer a solution.

There are a number of products that can help improve your indoor air quality, and at Custom Home Heating, we can recommend the ones that will deal with your specific situation. We are certified Lennox and Amana dealers and work with Lennox Healthy Climate and Amana Clean Comfort products in addition to other product lines to provide the best solutions. It may be duct cleaning and an air cleaner and purifier that can remove up to 95% of particles that stimulate allergic responses. Or a UV-C germicidal lamp might be in order. These can kill bacteria, viruses, and mold spores, decreasing the risk of infection, colds, and flu. A whole-home humidifier might be needed. High humidity levels lead to mold  and are breeding grounds for dust mites. Low humidity encourages the growth of certain bacteria and viruses and causes dry, itchy skin and jolts of static electricity.

Improving the quality of your home’s indoor air can substantially improve the quality of your family’s health and comfort. Contact Custom Home Heating today to arrange for your free consultation.
